During the late hours of Monday night, a man was stabbed in the East Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh by another man who, according to the police, was attempting to stop an assault that was taking place.
At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Monday, officers from the Pittsburgh Police Department were dispatched to the vicinity of Wilner Drive in response to reports of a stabbing.
Officers found a man who had been stabbed in the chest, the back, and the head when they arrived at the scene of the crime.
According to the preliminary findings of the investigation, the man who was stabbed turned up in the neighborhood and began assaulting a woman outside of a residence. This is what the police say happens. After that, another man who was attempting to stop the assault stabbed the man who had been assaulted.
According to the police, the individual who was participating in the attempt to prevent the assault remained at the scene and was cooperative with the officers. The filing of charges against him is not anticipated at this time.
Police have stated that the individual who was stabbed was transported to the hospital in a stable condition. It is anticipated that the individual will be charged with the assault that occurred.
