There are a large number of divers and boats searching for a young man who was last seen on Tuesday at Illinois Beach State Park, which is located close to the neighborhood of Zion.
On Tuesday afternoon, these personnel were spotted in the vicinity of a number of breakwaters in Lake Michigan, as previously reported by the local news.
Officials from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office have confirmed that a search has been initiated for a youngster who went under the water close to the beach. The boy is 14 years old.
According to the officials, the search is being assisted by the Coast Guard in addition to the local law enforcement agencies that are currently on the front lines.
During the course of the rescue operation, sonar equipment was also observed taking place in the sea.
