Endico Frozen Vegetables Recalled in Six States Over Listeria Contamination Risk

Mount Vernon, New York – Endico Potatoes Inc. has issued a multi-state recall of frozen vegetables after tests revealed possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the recall on Thursday, warning consumers in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland, Florida, and Washington, D.C. to check their freezers immediately.

Which Products Are Included in the Recall?

The recall applies to Endico 2.5 lb. bags of frozen peas and carrots and mixed vegetables distributed between July 18 and August 4, 2025.

The affected lots are:

  • Peas and Carrots: Lot 110625, production date 6/11/25, use by 6/10/27
  • Mixed Vegetables: Lot 170625, production date 6/17/25, use by 6/16/27

Consumers who purchased these items are advised not to eat them and instead return them to the store for a full refund.

Why the Recall Was Issued

The FDA reported that sampling at a Pennsylvania distributor tested positive for listeria. While no illnesses have been reported so far, the bacteria can pose serious health risks.

Listeria monocytogenes is especially dangerous for young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems. Infections can also lead to miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women.

Potential Symptoms of Listeria Infection

Healthy individuals may experience short-term symptoms such as:

  • Fever
  • Headache
  • Muscle stiffness
  • Nausea and abdominal pain
  • Diarrhea

Those at higher risk may suffer more severe or life-threatening infections.

  • Contact Endico Potatoes Inc. at 1-800-431-1398 with any questions

The FDA also urges consumers to consult a healthcare provider if they develop symptoms after eating the recalled vegetables.
