On Sunday, the Escondido Police Department said that a man had passed away over the weekend as a result of being struck by a vehicle when he was riding a bicycle across East Valley Parkway.
In a press release issued by the police, it was said that the guy was crossing Ash Street approximately 100 feet west of the intersection when he was struck by a Honda Accord around 9:10 p.m. on Saturday.
This is what the department had to say: “The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.” “Alcohol or drugs are not a factor in the crash.”
For the time being, the identify of the victim is being withheld until the investigation into the crash is being conducted.
Calling Officer Adam Ayres at 760-839-4714 is what the police are requesting from anyone who may have information about what took place.
