Families of Teens Killed in Limerick Crash Demand Answers Following Police Pursuitc

While the families and friends of the three teens who died in a crash in Limerick are sad about their deaths, they are also demanding answers about the police chase that led to the crash.

This week, three people died. Their names were Gabriel Cooper, Nasir Youk, and Siniyah Newsuan. The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office says all three were 17 years old. A boy who is 15 years old was also hurt and taken to the hospital.

The district attorney said that Limerick police were called to a Target just after 9 p.m. on Tuesday about a possible theft. Police tried to stop a car they thought might be involved with a theft. The driver lost control and crashed on Ridge Pike, not far from the Target.

Nasir’s grandma, Meejain Youk, said that it should never have turned into a chase. Detectives have not said how fast they think the cars were going.

“The police had the tag number if they were following them.” Youk said, “All they had to do was let them run or drive and then go to the house where the car was registered.” “They said they stole something and then said they thought they did it, so we don’t know.” The cops haven’t called the family, our family. We still haven’t seen the body, so we don’t know what kind of shape it’s in. It’s not even like the cops have come to tell us what to do.

Youk’s mother, Angela Andrews, said there hasn’t been enough explanation from the start. She even tried to find her son on Tuesday. Andrews said that she and Youk’s dad still haven’t heard from the police.

When I went to Siniyah’s house, her family was on the phone with the coroner’s office, which is how I found Nasir. I asked them, “Could you please check to see if they have my son?” I still haven’t found him. “No one has called yet,” she said. “That’s awful.” Everyone knew they were kids and that we were looking for them. I called all the hospitals I could think of. I called all of these hospitals. I called every hospital in Philadelphia because I knew there was a serious accident, but none of them were there.

His family says that Youk was a student at Owen J. Roberts High School.

“What a nice kid.” Talk to his teachers at school; he was funny. He made everyone happy. “He was never in a fight or argument,” his grandma said.

Rayelle Hill, a friend, said that Newsuan was also a student. She was one of many people who came to Spring City on Friday for a gathering and balloon release. Students and staff from Owen J. Roberts High School came to watch the balloon launch hours before the graduation, where there was a moment of silence.

“I’ll never forget Siniyah’s beautiful smile, her crazy rants about anything, or our daily FaceTime calls to see how things are going.” “Her YouTube videos the most,” Hill said. “Nasir, Gabe, and Siniyah, long live!”

Cooper’s grandma, Beatrice “Pam” Brown, said that he lived with her and had just started going to Spring-Ford Area High School.

“It’s too bad what happened.” “No, the more I watch the video, the more I don’t like it,” Brown said. “People loved Gabe and his friends a lot.” Even though I admire the balloons and everyone’s support, it won’t bring him back.

reached out to the Limerick Police Department multiple times this week for comment on the case, as well as clarification on their pursuit policy. As of this writing, we haven’t heard back.

One of the spokesman for the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office said on Friday that investigations into fatal crashes could last for weeks. The source said that there would not be an update on Friday.
