Family Seeks Help Locating Missing 80-Year-Old Man in Southern California

A man in his 80s from Southern California has been lost for days, and his family and friends are looking for him.

The Los Angeles Police Department said that William Wilson, 80, was last seen on July 20.

In East L.A., he was last seen heading east on Santa Monica Boulevard toward Vermont Avenue. He is also known to walk along the 1000 block of North Kingsley Avenue in Los Angeles. He also often goes to see people in the downtown area near Hill and 6th Streets.

Wilson is 135 pounds and 5 feet 7 inches tall. His eyes and hair are brown.

He may not have known where he was going when he vanished. His family told him that he needs to take medicine every day for health problems.

Also, they said that this is the first time he has ever been reported lost. Since then, they haven’t heard from him and are very worried about his health.

Wilson is thought to be a “critically missing person,” which means:

  • Someone who doesn’t usually run away or hide
  • A person who needs medical help right away
  • The person who has been harmed or robbed
  • The person who was kidnapped or taken away by their parents
  • Someone whose mental health is so bad that they can’t take care of themselves or are a direct threat to their own safety or the safety of others

Call the LAPD’s Missing Persons Unit at 213-996-1800 if you know where Wilson is or have any information about the case.
