Fatal Accident in Limerick Township Leaves 1 Dead and 2 Injured Following High-Speed Chase

LIMERICK TOWNSHIP, PA – A thrilling police chase in Limerick Township ended in tragedy late Tuesday night when a violent crash killed one person and hurt two others. At about 9:15 p.m., the accident happened on Ridge Pike near Sunset Road. A civilian car that cops were chasing flipped several times before stopping.

Limerick Township police were called to a report of a theft, and when they arrived, the suspect’s car sped off, so police began chasing it. But what started out as an attempt to catch a thief quickly turned into something that could have killed someone.

Emergency workers say that the driver of the car that crashed lost control while trying to escape the cops and the car flipped over several times before landing on its roof. A lot of first responders ran to the scene, but one person was already dead when they got there. Two other people in the car were hurt and taken to nearby hospitals to get care, but their states have not been made public yet.
