A head-on collision that occurred on Friday night in Dayton resulted in the death of one individual.
The Dayton Police Department reports that the fatal collision took place at approximately 10:28 p.m. on State Highway 99, which is located just south of United States Highway 90.
A head-on collision occurred between a red Honda that was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of State Highway 99 and a black Kia on the same road.
The Honda was being driven by a woman who was 31 years old and from Cleveland, Texas. She was eventually airlifted to Kingwood Hospital, but she did not survive her stay there.
The two people who were riding in the Kia, Jayson Rhodes, who was 20 years old and from Baytown, and Aniston Shaye Wirzberg, who was 19 years old and from Beach City, were taken to the hospital in critical condition respectively.
The accident is currently being investigated by the authorities.
