A guy from California who was 64 years old was killed while he was teaching his teenage daughter how to drive, according to the Laguna Beach Police Department (LBPD), which confirmed the incident on Wednesday. LBPD also reported that the 15-year-old had a learner’s permit in their possession.
The collision that resulted in death occurred late on Monday afternoon on the Coast Highway in the state of California. Within the automobile, James Politoski was the only person who was a passenger.
The teen girl, whose name is being withheld due to the fact that she is a child, “sustained significant injuries,” according to the London Borough Police Department. It is anticipated that she will live.
According to reports, the truck was able to break past a fence barrier before rolling down an embankment and landing on the highway in an upside-down position.
“This is a heartbreaking situation that not only impacts the immediate families involved but also deeply affects our entire community,” Lieutenant Jesse Schmidt of the Los Angeles Police Department said before the tragedy occurred. “It is always difficult when an accident leads to the loss of life—especially under circumstances where a parent was simply trying to do the right thing by teaching their child a valuable life skill.”
Additionally, Schmidt conveyed the department’s sympathies to Politoski’s family and friends on behalf of the organisation.
Currently, the investigation into what caused the crash is still ongoing.
