During a fire that was caused by pyrotechnics that occurred in Pacoima on Thursday night, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported that at least one person was sent to the hospital and that four residences were destroyed beyond repair.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident began in the 12900 block of Corcoran Street at approximately nine o’clock at night. It was reported by firefighters that fireworks were being used at the location. The Los Angeles flames Department decided to take a defensive stance and begin attacking flames from a safe distance “to prioritize life safety,” according to the department. This occurrence was referred to as a “major emergency” by the Los Angeles Fire Department, which had more than 130 firefighters present at the scene. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, they were able to put out the fire just before 10 o’clock.
The woman, who was 33 years old, was taken to the hospital by firefighters who were in critical condition. Despite the fact that she was treated for smoke inhalation by the crews, the 66-year-old woman refused to be sent to the hospital.
The California Highway Patrol transported a dog that was injured to a specialist veterinary hospital for emergency care.
