A collision involving four vehicles that occurred in Hesperia on Wednesday afternoon resulted in the death of a man who was 51 years old. According to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office, the deceased individual, who has been identified as Jason A. Morris, is leaving behind his wife and two children.
The occurrence took place at approximately 1:44 p.m.
The preliminary reports from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) indicate that a Toyota Tacoma is suspected of making a “unsafe turning” movement into the northbound lane of Summit Valley Road near Foley Road, which resulted in the collision with Morris’ 2017 Honda Accord. As a consequence of this, Morris was unable to maintain control of the Honda, and they ended up colliding head-on with a FedEx Ground delivery vehicle that was traveling in the southbound lane. The participation of a fourth vehicle, a GMC pickup truck, in the collision has been confirmed by the authorities.
Unfortunately, Morris, who was from Hesperia, passed away at the scene.
A GoFundMe page has been established in order to assist the family of Morris with the costs associated with the funeral and other expenses.
An investigation is currently being conducted.
