LA Man Targeted in Ambush Robbery After Meeting Woman on Dating Site

After a man from Los Angeles was robbed at gunpoint by a lady he met on a dating website, that woman led him into an ambush. Detectives are looking for assistance in locating a few individuals in this case.

On the morning of April 28, the armed robbery took place in the wee hours of the morning. The female suspect allegedly instructed her date to drive to a remote location and park his vehicle in the 100 block of South Occidental Boulevard after her date had picked her up, as stated by the Los Angeles Police Department. A distance of around 1,400 feet separates the block from the LAPD Metro Station, which is home to both the K-9 unit and the SWAT team.

Not long after the victim parked his vehicle, two of the woman’s claimed accomplices, one male and another woman, arrived in a black Dodge Charger or Challenger of a more recent model. According to the testimony of the detectives, the man entered the door to the victim’s residence, pointed a gun at him, and demanded that he hand up his valuables.

The vehicle was extensively searched by the woman’s accomplices, who also stole further items belonging to the owner. In addition to that, they coerced him into unlocking his phone and providing them with the password. The male suspect fired shots at the victim while he was still sitting in his vehicle, as the other members of the heist squad fled the scene.

Following the firing of the gun, the victim fled the scene and abandoned his vehicle in the remote location. As stated by the Los Angeles Police Department, the suspect eventually made his way back to the location a couple of hours later and took his vehicle.

According to the investigators, the suspects used the victim’s phone to make many purchases and attempted to transfer money totaling more than $20,000 on multiple occasions.

When the police arrived two days later, they discovered the stolen vehicle of the victim. Someone had set fire to the vehicle near the intersection of 56th Street and Central Avenue.

The original suspect was a lady who was between the ages of 17 and 25 and was last seen wearing a brown blouse and gray sweatpants, according to the report from the detectives.

The suspect, a man with a beard who is between the ages of 20 and 30, is the one who fired shots at the victim. He was reportedly dressed in tan overalls, a blue T-shirt, and black sneakers, according to the police.

When she was last seen, the second female suspect was wearing a brown blouse and gray sweatpants. Her age ranged from 17 to 25 years old.

The police also made public a photograph of a second male suspect, who was described as having a beard and a man bun. He was between the ages of 20 and 30. The last time anyone saw him, he was dressed in a white T-shirt, red jeans, and white flats.
