Mcdonald’s is launching a classic menu again! We live in a world where fast food chains are almost a must. We tend to go to these places to celebrate, grab a quick meal, or even because of the good taste of their products.
Some people become addicted, and McDonald’s has created a need in many places when it comes to the snack wrap classic menu.
The love for it was such that, when the menu was discontinued, people demanded it come back. Guess what, July 2025 is the official return date for the snack wrap!
It’s amazing the things people can achieve when they make the effort. So, if you were a fan of this McDonald’s classic menu, you could start enjoying it again in July. Let’s see the story behind this beloved snack wrap menu.
McDonald’s success
In 1940, Richard and Maurice McDonald decided to open a local restaurant in California, U.S. Their aim was to sell fast, cheap and tasty food and they got it. Without even noticing, they started the now worldwide known concept of ‘fast food’.
What’s the reason behind the huge success of the brand? Well, they are known for their adaptability, they are always looking for a new way to attract customers and launching new menus. Also, they have invested in new technology to make customers’ experience much easier.
McDonald’s is a brand everybody easily recognises, the ‘M’ logo and the Ronald McDonald clown. What about the catchy ‘I’m Lovin’ It’ phrase? I mean, it must be said the marketing team knows what they’re doing.
Snack Wrap menu
This menu was sold in McDonald’s restaurants, yes in the past, but we will get there later.
The snack wrap was a burrito with crispy chicken strips, lettuce, cheese and a sauce of your choice. This was easy to eat, the perfect food for people who went to McDonald’s and wasn’t very into burgers.
No more snack wraps!
You may think this menu was discontinued because of a health issue or something like that, but this is way far from the truth. They were the ones who voluntarily stopped selling them in 2016. Why? Let’s explain it.
They found it wasn’t as easy as burgers to make, which was an increase in time for people waiting for their orders. What’s more, they did feel it was being sold well and they wanted to focus on other products.
Surprise, Surprise…
Thousands of people have demanded the return of the snack wrap menu. They used the power of social media and they even contacted the company.
All the effort was rewarded, McDonald’s recognised how disappointed people were about their decision and they have officially announced via Instagram the return of the snack wrap menu and its date, the 10th of July of 2025.
Why now?
There’s a theory that they heard about another fast food brand, Popeyes, launching their own chicken wraps. So, they took advantage of the hype for the snack wrap menu return and they basically please their consumers and have more opportunities to compete against other companies. Such a good move from McDonald’s.
This case shows the importance of good marketing and also the importance of listening to consumers. Without the clever moves throughout all these years they wouldn’t have reached their current success. Also, the company has gained an important number of fans and listening to them increases their desire to go back.
I’m sure you have at least tried a product from this company and they are really tasty, but we all need to learn this can’t be consumed on a regular basis. There are many healthier and delicious options we are capable of even making at home. You should try it!
