Medical Teams at Hoan Bridge Struggle to Save Victim in Fatal Motorcycle Accident

A motorcyclist who was 21 years old passed away in a collision that occurred on the Hoan Bridge in Milwaukee on Sunday night. Despite the efforts of several Good Samaritans, including a medical worker who stopped to assist, the accident was fatal.

The deceased individual was identified as Devon Davis, who was a father, by members of the family.

When Caesar Banks, a medical worker who also rides motorcycles, arrived at the scene of the accident, it was just after 9 o’clock in the evening. Banks was on his way to starting his night shift.

You see the young man lying there, and at that moment I pulled my car up to the side of the road, saw his bike, and jumped out of the vehicle. Because you never know what might happen, I always have gloves in my car,” Banks said.

Tourniquets and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) were administered by Banks and two other medical professionals who happened to be passing by at the time.

His eyes blinked. At that moment, I uttered the words, “Hey, we need to roll him over.” During that time, the deputies instructed the individuals, “Do everything you guys can.” According to the banks.

A little before ten o’clock in the evening, Davis was pronounced dead at the scene, despite their best efforts.

Currently, the investigation into what caused the accident is still ongoing. When Banks was writing about the experience, he became emotional and made a comment about the brotherhood that exists among motorcycle riders.

“It’s hard cause one day that could be me on my bike, somebody could be doing this,” Banks explained to reporters. “It is going to tear me up because we try to make it back to a family and our children every day, and in this society, it is difficult. For a brother to not make it back home, it is difficult, and knowing that he is a father like me, with a baby, can make it even more emotionally difficult. It’s not easy.”

At seven o’clock on Monday evening, there will be a vigil held in Davis’s honor in Bender Park, which is located in Oak Creek.

When you come across a biker brother, you should offer assistance to that brother. We never abandon or leave a biker brother. According to Banks, “we are bikers for life, regardless of the circumstances surrounding us.”
