Miller Lite is giving away 50,000 free beers at bars all over the US to mark its 50th anniversary.
On August 1, which is International Beer Day, the beer brand will give away free drinks at 450 bars across the country. There will also be a special “Beer Drop” at a Milwaukee brewery that will be a lot like New Year’s Eve.
The company said that fans aged 21 and up who can’t make it to any of the bars on the list can still join through an online option.
Officials from the Miler family of brands said in a news release that the 50th anniversary is more than just a big deal for Miller Lite. “It’s a celebration of our fans and the 50 years we’ve spent together enjoying Miller Time,” they said.

At the beginning of this summer, the company celebrated its 50th anniversary by putting out limited-edition gold cans and announcing a relationship with “Saturday Night Live” star Marcello Hernandez.

At 4:50 p.m. local time, the company’s big event will take place at the Miller Lite Brewery in Milwaukee. Cans will be dropped one by one from a huge six-pack installation. Livestreaming of the event will also happen, with the installation going down at 4:50 p.m. in many time zones.
The company said in a news release, “No matter where you are at 4:50PM, it’s Miller Time.”
