An accident that resulted in multiple fatalities occurred on Highway 6 in Grimes County on Friday afternoon, prompting the authorities to respond. There were a total of five people that sustained injuries.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the individual who passed away as a result of the collision that occurred on Friday was named as Robin Conley, who was 30 years old and from Montgomery. In addition to her, there were two little children within the vehicle. As of right now, it is not apparent whether or not these individuals are her direct offspring.
The Department of Public Safety (DPS) officials verified just before 4 o’clock that the collision resulted in the death of at least one individual. It was closer to eight o’clock in the evening when we were informed of the crash’s specifics.
In a Ford Explorer, Conley was traveling southbound on Highway 6 when she crossed the grassy center median and ended up in the northbound lane, where she collided with a Volkswagen Taos. This information was provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
It was determined that Conley had passed away at the site.
A toddler aged two years old and a child aged six years old were transported to the Texas Children’s Medical Center in Houston due to their injuries.
Additionally, the driver of the Taos was transported to a hospital in Houston with what were described as “serious injuries.” There was a passenger who was 19 years old and another who was 24 years old. They had relatively minor injuries and were sent to a nearby medical facility.
DPS in Texas is conducting an investigation.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the collision took place on Highway 6 near County Road 330, south of FM 2, between Navasota and Hempstead, just after 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The mishap was reported.
