Motorcyclist Killed in Early Morning Crash on Fabyan Parkway in Geneva, Illinois, Identified

The name of the motorcyclist who was killed in a collision that occurred early on Sunday morning in Geneva, Illinois, has been revealed.

The Geneva Police Department reported that shortly after 6:30 a.m., officers, along with the Kane County Sheriff’s Office and the fire departments of Geneva and Batavia, responded to the crash that occurred on Fabyan Parkway, which is located on the far west side of Geneva. Drivers who were driving by noticed the collision.

According to the preliminary findings of the investigation, the motorcyclist was travelling west on Fabyan Parkway between Wenmoth and Kaneville roads when it crossed over into the eastbound lanes of traffic and collided with an embankment on the south side of the road. It was determined that the victim had passed away at the scene.

A man named Eric Gardner, who was forty years old and from Sycamore, Illinois, was identified as the victim by the Kane County Coroner’s Office. Further investigation, as well as the results of the toxicology test, are pending in order to determine the official cause and manner of death.

Investigation into the accident is still ongoing, and it is being conducted by the Geneva Police Department, the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team, and the Kane County Coroner’s Office.
