Nashville Forecast: Rain Early in the Week, Sunshine Returns for Trick-or-Treat Friday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A damp and gray Monday morning greets residents across Middle Tennessee, with lingering showers and low clouds hinting at a soggy start to the week. The mild, humid air will give way to a strong midweek cold front, bringing widespread rain before sunshine and cooler air return just in time for Halloween weekend.

Wet Start to the Week

According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, light rain will continue through Monday morning, tapering off by early afternoon. Skies will remain cloudy and temperatures will hover near 60°F, keeping conditions muggy and unsettled.

By Tuesday afternoon, another wave of moisture will approach from the southwest, spreading showers north along the I-40 corridor, including Clarksville, Murfreesboro, and Lebanon.

Midweek Rain and Gusty Winds

Tuesday night into Wednesday will bring the heaviest rainfall of the week as a strong cold front sweeps across Middle Tennessee.
Meteorologists expect half an inch to one inch of rain, with wind gusts up to 25 mph making for slick morning commutes and occasional visibility issues.

“The midweek system will bring widespread rain and a few breezy periods before cooler, drier air moves in by late Wednesday night,” said the National Weather Service.

As the front pushes east, temperatures will begin to fall into the mid-40s by night, setting the stage for a crisper second half of the week.

Sunshine Returns by Thursday

After days of clouds and rain, Thursday marks a welcome change. Expect partly sunny skies and highs around 56°F, though a brisk northwest breeze will make it feel cooler.

By Friday, high pressure takes full control, delivering a near-perfect autumn day — bright sunshine, light winds, and comfortable highs near 64°F. Evening temperatures will dip into the low 50s, creating ideal conditions for trick-or-treating across the Nashville metro area.
