According to an obituary that was published on Thursday, a senior at Lenape High School who was died in an automobile accident in Mercer County on Tuesday was a member of the swim team and intended to attend the College of New Jersey in the autumn.
Swann was a passenger in a vehicle that collided head-on with a tractor trailer on Tuesday on Route 31 in Hopewell Township, according to the authorities. The collision occurred on the highway.
As a result of the collision, two additional Lenape pupils, both of whom were seniors, sustained serious injuries, as stated by the authorities.
According to the information provided in his obituary, Swann, who was 18 years old and from Mount Laurel, was planning to attend the College of New Jersey to study biology after graduating from Lenape High School in June.
According to his obituary, he was a member of the swim team at Lenape High School. In addition to that, he enjoyed playing volleyball, weightlifting, video games, and hanging out with his friends.

In the letter, Cattani stated that Jacob had a genuine way of interacting with a large number of people who were a part of our school community community. Despite the fact that he had a huge group of friends, he never failed to include a new person in his chats or in his humorous antics.

Officers from the Hopewell Township Police Department responded to a report of a significant head-on collision on Route 31 involving a car and a tractor trailer at approximately noon on Tuesday, according to the officials.
According to the authorities, the preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle was travelling south on Route 31 when it crossed the centre line into the northbound lane and collided with the tractor trailer.
It was reported by the authorities that three people who were inside the vehicle sustained significant injuries and were taken to a hospital in the vicinity. According to the authorities, Swann ultimately succumbed to his injuries and dies.
There was no update provided by the police on Thursday regarding the condition of the other two people who were inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Law enforcement from Hopewell Township and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office are conducting an investigation into the collision.
