North Sacramento Tragedy: Men, 19 and 20, Dead After Unsafe Turn on Offramp

The identities of two males, one of whom was a teenager, who were killed in a crash involving a single vehicle that occurred early on Sunday morning in North Sacramento have been revealed.

According to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office, Isaiah Guadalupe Gonzalez, 19, and Joaquin Adan Silva, 20, both of Sacramento, passed away at approximately 4:30 a.m. while traveling eastbound on Interstate 80 near the Longview Drive offramp.

According to Officer Justin Fetterly, who serves as the spokesman for the North Sacramento office of the California Highway Patrol, an initial investigation has provided evidence that an unsafe turning movement was the cause of the crash.

On Monday, Fetterly stated that the inquiry into the collision is still ongoing.
