Ohio Man Allegedly Sets Mother of His Child on Fire, Leaving Her With Serious Burns

According to cops, an Ohio man set his child’s mother on fire by “dousing her with gasoline and lighting her on fire.” She was badly burned and needed surgery and medical care.

Delvon Stone, 33, is charged with felonious assault, aggravated arson, and domestic violence in connection with the fire attack on his child’s mother on April 28. His criminal case was sent to Toledo Municipal Court last week.

Stone was arrested after the victim and the police talked about what happened.

The complaint says that “the defendant and the victim share a child together.”

Assaulting the victim by dousing her in gasoline and setting her on fire is what it says. Because of this, her body was badly burned, and she needed surgery and medical care. The person who was hurt gave this information.

When Stone went to court on Tuesday, he was given a $250,000 bond. It says in the case that he has been found guilty of domestic violence at least twice before.

Court records show that Stone asked for and was given a public attorney on Tuesday.

A short-term protection order was given to the victim, and Stone’s preliminary hearing was set for June 3.

In Ohio, aggravated arson is a first-degree crime with a maximum prison sentence of 11 years. Felonious assault, on the other hand, is a second-degree felony with a maximum prison sentence of 8 years.
