A collision that occurred early on Sunday morning in Edgefield County resulted in the death of one individual. It took place on US 378 at approximately 8 a.m., approximately 14 miles north of Edgefield location.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that a driver of a 2022 Ford F250 collided with a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, causing the Camaro to sustain a side impact. The Chevrolet Camaro went off the road and collided with an embankment. The motorist was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
There were no injuries sustained by either the driver or the passenger in the truck.
