Palm Island North: Fatal Boating Accident Claims Man’s Life

After a boating tragedy on Thursday, a man from Wilmington has been identified as the person who passed away.

The incident took place in the Intracoastal Waterway, specifically at Wrightsville Beach, which is located close to the north of Palm Island.

61-year-old Mark Rosenberg was the person who was killed.

This information comes from the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, which states that Rosenberg was out on a recreational boat by himself when he fell out of the boat and drowned.

A marshy region was where the boat was discovered, and the engine was still operating.

Not a single witness was present.

Rosenberg may have experienced a medical emergency, according to the officer who is conducting the investigation.

Due to the fact that he was not wearing a life jacket or an ignition cutoff safety switch, the engine of the motor would have been turned off in the event that he had fallen out of the vehicle.
