A wide receiver for Penn State and Ohio State was gravely injured in a terrible ATV accident that occurred in rural Pennsylvania, according to the officials. The accident also resulted in the death of his fiancée.

While driving a Yamaha quad, Julian Fleming, 24, and Alyssa Boyd, 23, were going down a rural road in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, which is close to the state boundary with New York, when they were involved in a collision with a deer that darted in front of them. This information was provided by the Pennsylvania State Police.

According to the information that can be found on her various social media sites, Boyd attended the University of Alabama. According to the police, she suffered “extensive injuries” in the crash, which ultimately led to her death at the site.

Following the occurrence of severe injuries, Fleming, who also resides in Pennsylvania, was sent to Guthrie Troy Community Hospital for treatment.

Both of the cyclists were not wearing helmets, according to the state police.

PennLive and other local media outlets have revealed that the victim was a former football player for the Penn State Nittany Lions college football team.

Pictures that have been shared on social media platforms show Fleming and Boyd together. The body of the deer that the authorities believe resulted in the accident involving the ATV was discovered.

When Fleming was a high school student at Southern Columbia High School in Catawissa, Pennsylvania, he was a standout performer. He was selected as the 2019 Pennsylvania player of the year by both Gatorade and PennLive, and he was also ranked as the greatest wide receiver recruit in the country.

During the 2019 college football season, Fleming, who was a five-star recruit, stated his intention to play for Ohio State. As a member of the Ohio State Buckeyes, he participated in 38 games and caught 80 receptions for 990 yards and seven touchdowns.

After receiving his diploma in December 2023, Fleming immediately went to Penn State. During his time with the Nittany Lions, he participated in a total of sixteen games, but he struggled with injuries during the second half of the season.

Immediately after the 2025 NFL Draft, he signed a contract with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent. However, the club terminated the pact three weeks prior to the deadly collision because Fleming could not pass his medical examination.
