Philadelphia Museum of Art Area Crash Injures Officer, Authorities Report

An officer with the Philadelphia Police Department has been discharged from the hospital after being engaged in a collision in the Spring Garden neighborhood of Center City Philadelphia, according to officials. The officer had a concussion as a result of the collision, which occurred near the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

An officer who was engaged in a collision around the 2500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue at approximately 11:22 p.m. on Sunday night reportedly sustained a concussion as a result of the collision. The police have not yet revealed any other identifying details on the officer.

Following the collision, the officer was taken to the hospital; however, according to the authorities, they have now been discharged.

The officer and another car crashed at a crossroads after both drivers believed they had a green light, according to officials from law enforcement who spoke with NBC10 about the incident.

After the collision, the other driver remained at the scene, and according to the authorities, that person did not sustain any injuries as a result of this occurrence.

However, an investigation into this collision is still underway, and officials from the police department have not disclosed which motorist is considered to be at fault, nor have they disclosed whether the other driver could be charged in connection with this occurrence.
