An investigation is being conducted by the police after a dangerous street takeover that occurred on Sunday night in Plymouth Township and involved between fifty and one hundred people slowing down traffic.
The surveillance footage shows a number of vehicles traveling in circles at high speeds while people are hanging out of the windows of the vehicles.
There was also a crowd of people surrounding the takeover, and fireworks were fired throughout the incident. The video also showed fireworks being fired.
According to the Montgomery County police, the incident took place at approximately eight o’clock on Sunday, June 15, at the intersection of Ridge Pike, Chemical Road, and North Lane in the community surrounding the county.
In order to wait for the dangerous situation to end, vehicles that were not involved in the takeover waited at the stop lights.
During my visit to the scene on Tuesday, I noticed that there were still skid marks available at the intersection.
“It is the day for fathers. People live in different locations. As Bryen Kimbrough put it, “You’re going to have to take it easy.”
The intersection appears to be completely insane. Tokyo drift is what it appears to be. It’s a wild place out here, so you all need to make sure you stay safe,” he added.
The individuals involved reportedly fled the area when the police arrived, and there were no contacts with law enforcement made among the participants on Sunday evening, according to the said officials.
