Police Investigate Hit-and-Run in Mountain View After Car Hits Tree, Passenger Trapped

A driver who was engaged in a hit-and-run on Sunday morning is being sought by Mountain View police.

The collision occurred shortly after five in the morning on Evelyn Avenue near Kittyhawk Way.

A automobile struck a tree, according to officials. Another passenger, who was stuck in the front seat, was left behind while the driver and another passenger fled.

Firefighters spent over half an hour removing the man. Despite having serious injuries, the victim is expected to live, according to the police.

The incident is being investigated by Mountain View police as a criminal hit-and-run.
