Pompano Beach: Driver Badly Hurt After Brightline Train Slams Into Car

A Brightline train collided with a car that was parked on the tracks in Pompano Beach on Tuesday afternoon, according to the officials. The collision resulted in the hospitalisation of one individual who had significant injuries.

They received a call at approximately 3:50 p.m. reporting a collision in Pompano Beach that involved a car and a Brightline train. The collision occurred close to the intersection of West Atlantic Boulevard and North Dixie Highway.

As a result of the collision between the Brightline train and the car that was parked on the tracks, the car was flipped over, according to the Pompano Beach Police Department.

According to the police, the engine block and tyre came out of the vehicle and collided with the City Commission Chambers, effectively shattering the window on the side of the building.

As a result of the driver of the vehicle suffering serious injuries, Pompano Beach Fire Rescue transported him to Broward Health North.

Law enforcement officers from the BSO are currently conducting an investigation into the events that led up to this collision.
