On Sunday, the police made a request to the general public for assistance in locating the individuals responsible for the theft of automated teller machines from three different businesses located in the Beverly and Avalon Park communities of the South Side.
The burglaries took place on Friday, June 27, between the hours of three and five in the morning.
In each of the burglaries, the crowbar was used by the perpetrators to break the glass front doors, according to the investigators. Once they were inside, they took the automated teller machines.
A company located in the 1400 block of East 87th Street in Avalon Park was the target of the first burglary attempt, which took place around 3:15 a.m. on Friday. On Friday morning, at 4:02 a.m., they struck Waldo Cooney’s Pizza, which is located at 2410 W. 111th Street in Beverly.
The front glass door of Waldo Cooney’s Pizza was damaged, and there was no ATM present, as evidenced by the photographs.
There was a third break-in that took place on Friday between the hours of three and five o’clock in the morning at the Morgan Park Sports complex, which is located at 11505 S. Western Ave. and is a community recreation complex that features an ice rink in addition to other facilities.
Black hooded sweatshirts, black and blue leggings, and a black mask were among the items that the burglars were wearing, according to the police.
