The Iowa State Patrol is conducting an investigation into a collision that involved six vehicles in western Iowa.
At approximately four o’clock on Saturday afternoon, the incident took place on Interstate 29. According to the authorities, the incident occurred as drivers were attempting to merge into the fast lane in order to prevent another accident.
There was a car that went airborne and landed in the median in an upside-down position.
Through the use of an ambulance, three individuals, one of whom was a child aged one, were transported to the hospital.
Three additional people, one of them was a man from Altoona, were injured as a result of the collision.
