A man was shot and murdered over the weekend in South Jersey, according to a spokesperson for the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office. Investigations are now being conducted into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Earl and Clarkson streets in the New Yorkshire neighborhood of Burlington City on Sunday, June 8 at approximately 5:30 p.m., where they discovered a male lying on the ground, according to the Burlington City Police Department.
Authorities stated that the victim, who was identified as Derrick Adams and was 38 years old, had been shot many times and was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
This incident is currently being investigated by the authorities.
