In Ludlow on Tuesday, there was a collision involving two vehicles that resulted in the deaths of three people.
Within the vicinity of County Road 1550 E and County Road 3500N in Ludlow Township, deputies from the Champaign County Sheriff’s Department were called to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on June 24 at around 4:45 p.m. There was a collision between two vehicles, a pickup truck and a passenger car, at this particular place.
A man from Paxton, 62 years old, was driving the pickup truck, and a woman from Paxton, 56 years old, was driving the passenger car. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. It was determined that the passenger in the passenger car, a woman from Ludlow who was thirty years old, had passed away after being taken to a nearby hospital.
The Champaign County Sheriff’s Office accident reconstruction deputies are now conducting an investigation into this collision. There will be no public release of the names of individuals affected until the next of kin have been notified.
