Tragedy Strikes at Lake Tahoe: 6 Dead, 2 Missing in Boat Accident

In Lake Tahoe on Saturday, a boat capsized due to the adverse weather conditions, resulting in the deaths of several passengers and the injuries or disappearance of a number of others.

The United States Coast Guard stated that the weather was reported to have winds of thirty knots and swells of six to eight feet. According to FOX Weather, winds of 30 knots are equivalent to around 35 miles per hour.

Around three o’clock in the afternoon, the people were traveling in a gold Chris-Craft that was 27 feet long and reportedly capsized as a result of a significant amount of surf.

It was reported that there were ten persons in the water in the vicinity of D.L. Bliss State Park, therefore emergency teams were dispatched to the area.

There were a total of six fatalities, two that were transported to the hospital, and the hunt for two others who have gone missing is still ongoing.

It was Saturday evening when rescue workers and divers began searching the region, and they continued their search the following morning.
