The two people who are recovering from an accident that involved a sharp object that they were unable to even detect until it was too late – a kite string — are from New York.
“There was just so much blood”
Jennifer Noble was riding her bicycle over the weekend when she crossed the Marine Parkway Bridge. She was observing a kite that was floating in the air when she suddenly collided with something that she was unable to visualize.
“It hit my upper lip and my nose, and then it cut through my forehead,” according to her account.
Not only did the string rip through the muscle of Noble’s index finger, but it also ripped through the temple strap of her helmet. It is her assertion that the force caused her to fall backwards.
“And then I hear screaming coming from behind me,” she said. Noble stated that the object struck my friend who was standing behind me in the throat, causing him to suffer a gash to his throat.
Noble stated that the good Samaritans immediately took action, bandaged her finger, and put pressure to her friend’s neck on the occasion.
“It appeared like to a movie. Like it appeared to be false. Noble stated that there was an excessive amount of blood.
“It tore through me”
Her close buddy Robert Hillebrand is still being treated in the hospital. According to Noble, the business owner has a long road ahead of them.
It is impossible for him to work. “He is going to have a significant amount of medical expenses,” she noted.
Five days after the event, Noble said that she is still experiencing discomfort, and she has already gone back to the emergency hospital for the tremendous pain that she is experiencing in her finger.
“Looks like there are bone fragments in the joint, which is why I’m having so much pain now,” she explained to me.
On Monday, she is scheduled to meet with a specialist for an appointment.
Noble is of the opinion that the string was attached to a “fight kite,” which is a type of kite in which the string is an extremely sharp and abrasive line that is occasionally covered with some shattered glass.
“It just seems really horrifically, dangerously negligent to have this stuff out there in the world,” Noble stated to reporters. “It tore through me.”
