Two people were arrested on Saturday in connection with a Washington Street car theft.
Around 1 p.m., patrol officers from the Waterbury Police Department were called to the area of Washington Street and River Street about a strange car.
The people inside were recognized as Oscar Rosado, 41, and Roberto Roman, 35, both from Waterbury.
It was proven that the car had been reported stolen from Bridgeport.
Rosado was found to have heroin and drug paraphernalia after more research.
Roberto Roman was arrested and charged with having a stolen car. He is still being held by the Connecticut Department of Correction.
A man named Oscar Rosado was charged with having a stolen car, drugs, drug paraphernalia, interfering with a police officer, and several traffic crimes involving cars.
Also, Rosado was given a warrant for failure to appear in court for a date that he did not keep.
He is also still being held by the Connecticut Department of Correction.
