An e-bike rider was the victim of a collision that occurred on Thursday night, according to the Trumbull police department.
The incident took place on Main Street close to Whitney Avenue at approximately 6:45 p.m.
A 15-year-old boy was riding the electric bicycle on Main Street, heading south, when he was struck by a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction, according to the police.
Due to the severity of his injuries, the young youngster was sent to a medical facility.
According to the officers, the vehicle that collided with the electric bicycle sustained significant damage and remained nearby. The only person in the vehicle was the driver, and he or she did not sustain any injuries.
The Crash Reconstruction Unit of the Trumbull, Fairfield, and Westport Police Department is now conducting an investigation into this occurrence.
According to the police, there have been no charges filed in connection with the collision.
