West Haven: Reward Offered After Dog Found Abandoned, Advocacy Group Steps In

A red husky that was left behind in West Haven is the subject of a reward of $5,000 that is being offered by an organization that advocates for the welfare of animals.

On June 7, at approximately eight o’clock in the evening, the dog was abandoned close to the intersection of Peck Avenue and Leete Street, according to Desmond’s Army, a charitable organization that focuses on the welfare of animals.

There is a consensus among the group that the individual responsible was operating a green SUV.

The information provided by Desmond’s Army indicates that a person was observed putting the dog outside the vehicle and then driving away.

A red harness was worn by the dog, but it did not have any tags or a microchip for identification purposes.

The West Haven Animal Shelter is requesting that anyone who may have information get in touch with them.
