Wisconsin City Tops 2025 List of Worst Places for Bed Bugs in America

When you read this, you should make an effort not to cringe. The annual list of the cities with the highest prevalence of bed bugs has been published by Orkin.

During the process of compiling this list, they took into consideration a period of twelve months, beginning in May 2024 and continuing through May 2025.

For the purpose of this ranking, as is customary, we focused on the most populous metropolitan regions in the United States where Orkin carried out bed bug treatments during that particular year. This includes treatments for bed bugs in commercial settings as well as services for home bed bugs.

We regret to inform you that this did not go well for one of the cities in Wisconsin. A city like this one made it into the top ten, which is not the best possible outcome.

Wisconsin City Named Top Ten Bed Bug Destination

The unfortunate reality is that Milwaukee has been ranked as the tenth worst state for bed bugs, which indicates that it has some of the worst rates of bed bug infestations in the whole country.

The terrible news is not limited to only one. When compared to the previous year, Milwaukee made a significant leap forward, climbing fifteen spots to into the top ten. Oh my goodness!

How To Prevent Bed Bugs If You’re Traveling

Bed bugs are something that no one wants to ever have to deal with, but there are things that we can do if we are traveling to any of the locations that are on this list! To begin, it is important to recognize the indicators of bed bugs, which include little stains on bed linens that resemble ink and a scent that is pleasant but musty.

There are further things that you may do to look for indicators of bed bugs, such as lifting sheets and curtains, as well as other similar objects. When you go back to your house, make sure that your luggage is elevated and that it is kept away from any furniture, particularly your bed. Additionally, put your clothes in the dryer.

When it comes to Minnesota, we performed a little bit better. Minneapolis made it onto the list at position forty, which is also an increase of approximately seven spots from the previous year. Eeeeek!
