The authorities are conducting an investigation into a shooting that occurred on Tuesday morning at an apartment complex in Wisconsin, which resulted in the deaths of three people and the critical injury of one more.

A family dispute was reported to have occurred at an apartment located on the 2600 block of North Pontiac Drive at 11:04 a.m., as stated by the Janesville Police Department. Officers were dispatched to the location to investigate the situation. The dispatch center received multiple additional calls reporting shots fired at the same location while they were responding to the initial call.

As officers entered the apartment, they discovered four adults who had been murdered. It was determined that three of the victims had died as a result of gunshot wounds, while the fourth victim was discovered in critical condition. The surviving victim was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were considered to be life-threatening after a series of life-saving measures were performed by law enforcement officers at the scene.

Despite the fact that the investigation is still ongoing, the police have stated that there is no known threat to the community.

Deputy Chief Chad Pearson of the Janesville Police Department stated that incidents such as this are more than just news stories or case numbers. “They are life-altering events, and they lead to lasting impacts on the victims, loved ones, and those who live or work in the surrounding community, and every first responder that steps into these difficult situations.”

According to the officials, additional information will be made available in the days ahead. At this time, there is no additional information that can be provided.
