Woodlawn Crash Injures 2 Chicago Officers and Civilian Woman

They were responding to a call in Woodlawn early on Wednesday morning when they collided with another vehicle, causing two Chicago police officers and one civilian to sustain minor injuries, according to the Chicago Police Department.

According to the Chicago Police Department, the officers were responding to a call in the 6600 block of South Cottage Grove at approximately one in the morning when their vehicle collided with a green sedan. The officers’ lights and sirens were activated at the time of the collision.

The two officers sustained relatively minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital at the time of the incident. Both were described as being in satisfactory condition.

Despite the fact that she had sustained minor injuries, the woman who was driving the green sedan, who was 45 years old, declined to receive medical treatment.

Not a single citation was issued. The investigation is being conducted by the police.
