An investigation is being conducted by a family in Massachusetts after a hit-and-run accident in Plymouth resulted in the death of a three-month-old puppy.
It had only been three months since Aurora, a golden retriever, had been born.
“She had a whole awesome life ahead of her,” said Ryan Lesko, a student at Plymouth High School. “That’s my child, too, this beautiful dog that didn’t deserve this.”
Thursday evening, according to Lesko, Aurora managed to escape from her home and make her way to Little Sandy Pond Road.
It wasn’t until she heard a thud outside that his wife, who was at home, realized that Aurora had managed to sneak out by herself.
“She ran into the street, found the dog was trying to walk, and then it just collapsed next to its puddle of blood,” stated Lesko in response.
He said that it was a red Toyota sedan that hit the dog and continued on, but he did not catch the license plate. Another good Samaritan stopped to offer assistance and said that it was the vehicle.
“There’s no way you wouldn’t know,” Lesko stated on the situation. “It’s not a rabbit; it’s a golden retriever,” the person said. Big dog, there is no way that you would be unaware of something, even if you were climbing the blind hill.
It has been a month since Aurora joined the family, and according to Lesko, his Jack Russell terrier, who is 13 years old, has found a new playmate in Aurora.
According to Lesko, “They were beginning to form a connection.” Starting to do everything jointly is the first step. Our daughter, who is three years old, calls her “Big Dog,” and we are currently at a loss for words to explain to her that her “Big Dog” is no longer with us. It is a horrible experience.
The driver is the recipient of a communication from Lesko.
“Don’t be a coward,” Lesko said. “I mean it.” People are prone to making errors. Bring yourself to justice and take responsibility for your transgressions.
A report has been submitted to the police by Lesko.
