Maine Woman Arrested for Drug Trafficking After Auburn Traffic Stop Uncovers Fentanyl and Crack

WGME reports from Auburn, Maine: When police stopped a woman in Auburn for speeding, they say they found fentanyl and crack. She is now being charged with drug dealing.

Around 6 p.m., police say they pulled over a car on West Auburn Road because it had the wrong license plates.

According to the cops, they saw people trying to hide things inside the car.

The car was checked by police, who say they found 21.4 grams of fentanyl and about 2 grams of crack cocaine.

A passenger, Stephanie Lockhart, 38, of Lewiston, was arrested and charged with aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, illegal possession of fentanyl and cocaine base, refusing to be arrested or detained, fabricating physical evidence, and breaking the terms of her release.

Traffic violations were brought against the car.

She was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail and is being held there on $1,500 bail.
